Leadership Accountability.

Performance, not personality. Citizens must demand evidence — not loyalty — from those they elect.

Accountability is not hostility. It is the ordinary expectation that those who hold public office show their work. In Nigeria, leaders have been allowed to substitute charisma, tribe and party slogans for performance. The Civic Reset Project refuses this substitution.

What accountability looks like

  • Clear, public commitments before office — not after.
  • Evidence of delivery — budgets, projects, outcomes — published in citizens' language.
  • Town hall and oversight presence that does not depend on partisan cover.
  • A citizen culture that is loyal to standards before personalities.

What citizens owe

Accountability is two-sided. Citizens who only ask hard questions when the other party is in office have given up on accountability and joined the partisanship that destroyed it. The reset asks the same standard of every office, every party, every tribe, every faith.
